VILLAMARTIN

This Putman designed course opened in 1972 has been the focal point of Mediterranean golf since that time. Sporting tennis courts and a swimming pool, together with a central plaza of shops, restaurants and bars, Villamartin can satisfy the most discerning tastes.

18 hole, PAR 72 6130m Professional/Men/Ladies tees. Driving range. Green fee approx. 36 euros per person per round. Ten Kms on the Cartagena Road, from Torrevieja, turn right opposite sign to La Zenia.

CAMPOAMOR

The most panoramic of the courses in the region, the expansive fairways, excellent greens and the lakes deceive the player somewhat. This is a large and testing course with six "dog legs" to keep you on your toes. A relatively young course (1989), Campoamor will soon be challenging as a venue for major championships.

18 hole par 71 golf course 583m Professional/Men/Ladies tees. This course is just a bit further up from Villamartin on the Cartagena Road. Green fee approx. 36 euros for men and 33 euros for the ladies per round.

LAS RAMBLERS

Inaugurated in 1991 under the direction of the Villamartin Management and therefore known locally as "Villamartin 11", this is a demanding, tight course with an abundance of pine trees, ravines, plateaux interconnected with a natural rolling landscape. This is a course with "attitude". In between Villamartin and Campoamor, this 18 hole par 72 5,770m course Professional/Men/Ladies tees. Driving range. Green fee is 24 euros for men and 15 euros for the ladies per round.

QUESADA

The Marquesa course is situated in a deep valley and forms part of the mini-town of Ciudad Quesada and is a neighbour of the village of Rojales. Probably the least demanding of the courses, it proves to be the perfect one to get the "rust out of the system". The 19th hole is very well situated and serviced by a restaurant and bar and close to the putting green and driving range.

Approx 18 kms north of Torrevieja on the Crevilente Road. An 18 hole par 72 course 6030 m. Green fee is 65 euros per round.

LA MANGA

60 kms south of Torrevieja on main Cartagena Road. There are three superb courses plus swimming pool and restaurant. Green fee is approx 60 euros per round.

 EL PLANTIO

The El Plantio development represents a unique conception in the world of golf in Spain; that is, a complete golfing centre possessing a golfing school, driving ranges (covered and uncovered) and tuition with P.G.A. qualified staff. The initial concept is that novice players or those who have not had the opportunity to play on a regular basis and therefore not obtained a handicap can do so by attending the facility, having tuition and achieving the standard necessary for association with the Spanish Golf Federation, acceptable all over the world. Other more experienced golfers can improve their game by supervision at the driving range and then playing the 18 hole par 3 course.

Horse Riding

Since becoming a club, BENISSA RIDING CLUB has developed a series of sport and social activities that were needed in our area and has bought the opportunity to many children and foreigners to enjoy these activities.

The club offers a variety of equestrian disciplines at different levels thanks to their qualified monitors whose credentials include diplomas from the B.H.S. (British Horse Society) and the A.B.R.S. (Association of British Riding Schools) and all this with thoroughbred Spanish horses.

Amongst the wide range of horse-related activities the club has to offer are the following:

So if you're a fan of the sport or just fancy "having a go" why not combine it with your relaxing holiday on the Costa Blanca.
